Just replaced the second set of Michelins at 108k on my 15 RAM DRW. First set installed at 200 miles and those MS2's went 40k. Received $650 towards any tire any brand because they were toast well before the 60k warranty. So I gave the "new and improved" MS2's a shot and they made it 68k with plenty of tread left.

They don't make the MS2's any longer so the top of the line replacement is the AT2's and I went with those at an out the door price of $1,850 at Discount Tire in NW WA. To compare I got a quote from Costco same day same tire at $2,030 out the door. I could have made it to SoCal easily and purchased the tires down there but I get good pricing locally with the Manager.

So far the tires feel solid with no squirm and nice and smooth. Time will tell if I will get the mileage of the last MS2's.

I would call the AT2 an aggressive highway or mild AT tire.
Certainly, not aggressive like the duratracs on my truck!

That more aggressive tread is probably going to cost you tread life but that is covered under the warrantee. The bigger issue may be fuel cost. I am guessing a possible 10% reduction fuel economy as well. When you get some real numbers on that it will be interesting to see them.

I wouldn't call the tread of the A/T2s aggressive:

I agree, far from it!!! Now my NITTO Ridge Grapplers are what I would consider mildly aggressive.

My mileage did not decrease one bit. I just completed a trip towing my 5er with MC trailer 1,300 miles and mileage was exactly like times before.
IME agressive tread is often quiet when new, and gets louder with wear.
Time will tell.

Well i have put around 1,000 miles towing my 24k 5er with 6k pin and these mew tires feel great as did my previous MS2's. I was thinking i would have more road noise with these AT2's but they are no louder than the MS2's and they were quiet. ZERO new tire squirm solo or towing so all that is left is to see how long they will last. Not worried as they have a 60k warranty. Temp wise they seem to be running similar to the MS2's.

Pretty confident these new AT2 tires won't last as long as your previous MS2 tires.

Friend had them on his Superduty 350 , they went less than 30K. I considered them at one time , but went with Toyo. Was not impressed with Toyo .

Which Toyo tires did you have?

Michelin changed the compound on the new and improved MS2. I recently had some installed on my truck. They rode really nice when not towing. Hooked up to my TT and the truck felt like it was on ice. They replaced the POS Firestones on my Ram 3500. While those tires didn't last very long they were much better at controlling the truck when towing.
Went back to Discount tire and told them what happened. I put 2000 miles on them. They gave me a 100% refund and I got some Cooper AT3's. Much better than the MS2. Stiffer ride but my truck goes 50/50 towing and DD so I'll live with it.

So far the Cooper AT3 XLT's have been the best riding ,handling tire ive ran so far on my 2014 Ram 3500 . Time will tell on the wear . At 18 months ,and about 10K miles ,looking good .

My F350's come with A/T2s. About 25k miles on my current set and they are about ready for replacement. The nice thing is the replacements come with a new truck attached.

YIKES, that does not sound good. New truck with new tires is certainly a way to go.

I didn't word that very well ... my A/T2s have about 25k miles and I expect to be picking up my new truck in a couple of weeks, so, they are about to be replaced, but, they are not yet worn out. I think I put about 45k miles on one of my F350's before selling it with the original worn out A/T2s.

My truck came equipped with these tires from the factory and I want to say they were about a ~35k mile tire for me. I was really disappointed in them as I have a high regard for Michelin tires.
